🦄 Creator Spotlight — “Vertical Goes Mainstage”
“Vertical Goes Mainstage”
The chef’s new YouTube series “Idiot Sandwich” (announced May 30) will pit nine viral food creators—Rhett & Link, Zach King, Lexi Hensler—against impossible kitchen stunts for a $100 K purse. Shot in vertical and horizontal simultaneously, the show will premiere on YouTube’s experimental Vertical Live player later this summer.
Our take: expect massive Shorts-feed spill-over and brand integration bonanza (Uber Eats already bought the pantry).

![]() Addison Rae | Addison Rae (TikTok Royalty → Pop Debutante)🌉 Background: 24-year-old Louisiana native who parlayed 88 M TikTok followers and Netflix’s He’s All That cameo into a full-blown multimedia career—now boasting 12.3 M monthly Spotify listeners. 👑 Achievement: Dropped the cinematic video for new single “Fame Is a Gun” on May 30 and locked the release date for her first full-length album Addison (out June 6). |
Here is the story …
The pastel-noir clip—directed by Petra Collins—pulled 9 M YouTube views and 1.4 M TikTok creations in 72 hours, immediately trending at No. 2 on X’s music tab. Pre-orders for the exclusive tangerine-vinyl bundle sold out in three minutes, prompting a second pressing that crashed her Shopify site. Industry buzz says Addison co-wrote all 12 tracks, tapping producers Elvira Anderfjärd (Taylor Swift) and Luca Kloser (Olivia Rodrigo) to mix bubble-grunge with Y2K electropop.
Live-performance roll-out starts June 14 on The Tonight Show before a seven-city pop-up tour where fans swap handwritten “dear diary” letters for merch vouchers—great fodder for brand activations around Gen-Z nostalgia.
Early radio testing gave lead single “Diet Pepsi” a 74 percent “thumbs up,” signaling crossover potential beyond her core TikTok demo. If the numbers hold, Addison could echo the 2020 Charli XCX playbook: viral fandom → charting debut → global festival slots—so beverage, beauty, and lifestyle brands seeking fresh pop clout should move fast.
Why it matters: Addison is—slowly but surely—becoming an icon, an idol!
Did You Know? CMA Fest isn’t just Nashville’s biggest country party—it’s a major charity engine. Since launching its nonprofit arm in 2011, the festival has funneled over $30 million into U.S. music-education programs, with more than half of that supporting K-12 schools in Tennessee. This week’s four-day fest (June 5-8) is on track to add another multimillion-dollar boost.
